The Science Software Group develops and supports software used by the STScI operations pipeline to calibrate all HST science data, by STScI astronomers to analyze science instrument performance, and by the general astronomical community to reduce and analyze their data from HST and other telescopes. We also develop Exposure Time Calculators and photometric tools so that astronomers can estimate exposure times needed for their observations.
